Our 8 days trip to Morocco was so fast paced and intense but this was the only way we could have explored so much of this mysterious and vibrant country. We travelled from Casablanca to Marrakech, passing through Volubilis, Meknes, Fes, Merzouga and Ait Ben Haddou.

I spent most of the time with the camera and mic turned on trying to capture most of it, ending up with more than 230 Gb of raw footage edited in this short movie about Morocco's specific vibe. 2 weeks later, I've got this short clip sorted out and meant to pass this vibe on to anyone who watches it.

A city portrait of Cairo during heavy rain and little shine. The weather is a metaphor to the chaos my underprepared city and its dwellers have to experience when the “unexpected” happens, in contrast to the usual chaos that is the city itself.

The film takes you on a ride through different neighborhoods in Cairo while the Egyptian Painter Salah Taher shares his views about the city on the radio.
Last year we traveled to Ethiopia to shoot 'Letisha’s Well', a documentary by Run For Water - a non profit organization bringing clean water to communities in Ethiopia. This is a visual diary of some of the people we met and places we visited, but also the lasting impression it left on us.
We spent three weeks capturing the people and places of Angola for Euronews, commissioned by the Angolan government.

In that time we discovered that Angola has spent most of my lifetime in a brutal civl war. The west African country lost an estimated 500,000 people across 27 years.

We produced eight TV commercials to promote everything from tourism to trade. The scenes captured in this film did not fit into the TVC format so I decided to make an anthropological film.
When the Philadelphia public-school system began losing almost all the funding for its music-education programs in 2007, thousands of instruments in need of repair were forced into retirement, and community members moved to action. In this triumphant new documentary by Charlie Tyrell, we are introduced to a few of the innovators, educators, volunteers, advocates, and musicians behind Symphony for a Broken Orchestra, a music and art project begun in 2017 that raised awareness for the issue, helping to get those broken instruments back into Philadelphia students’ hands. Symphony for a Broken Orchestra was originally created and commissioned by Temple Contemporary at Temple University, USA. Original support for Symphony for a Broken Orchestra was provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, Philadelphia.
