//
Mankind no longer exists, only Fluor and Carlix, two ghosts in sportswear, remain.They wander among the ruins of an extinct civilization, one in search of a Wi-Fi connection, the other in search of the head of a giant cetacean. El Viento is a non-profit providing opportunities for at-risk-youth in the Oak View community of Huntington Beach, California. If Oak View was a city, it would be the 11th poorest in the United States. Most families don't even think of education past high school. Since its inception, El Viento's afterschool program has given many students the support and structure to achieve unprecedented academic success. This is a story of three of those students.
Since he was a kid growing up in Upper Marlboro Maryland, Chase Young dreamed of playing Pro Football and getting “the call” on draft day – but he didn’t imagine the moment being under quarantine and in a COVID-19 world.

We teamed up with Beats by Dre to capture the last days before Chase’s dreams of becoming a Pro came true. While in quarantine, Chase reflects on his journey and how the current times give him a renewed perspective on the importance of family.

This project was developed, produced, and captured remotely following strict health and safety guidelines with Chase, his family, and our crews’ safety top of mind.
Around The Bend is a journey through the moments and memories that become milestones as we travel the road of life. Equally wonderful and transient, the experience is marked by our relationships, glued together by unconditional love, and carried beyond our time in the legacy of those who come behind.
Made with Runway Gen-2.
Iceland is one of my favorite countries to travel to & I absolutely love capturing my experiences there. It was even better getting to show my Wife’s family this place we’ve grown to love so much over the past 5 years. “Gusts From The Highlands” is my 3rd travel piece I’ve had the pleasure of creating there. Bringing along the Leica Q2 was a great addition in the toolkit for shooting the photos you see in this piece. It was fun experimenting with the Sirui anamorphic’s as well. Thanks to my love Christie LaPlant for all the killer drone shots!
Remember the lyrics to protect your love life.

'An ode to changing times. What started as an actual conversation with a close friend, the grimmest man I know, blurting the words - 'I love Taylor Swift', left me contemplating about the whys and hows of our Anthropocene. The film chooses a direct & light-hearted approach to contradict the otherwise meta-modern landscape we reside in.'
