Shot in the Arabian desert with a haunting backdrop of the Burj Khalifa, Universal Machine is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a gifted young girl must find a way to understand and overcome a violent encounter with a life-like android

New York-based director and artist Daniel Askill enlisted a host of international creative talent for this project. Renowned American minimalist composer Philip Glass scores an ominous orchestral piece undercut by a stirring mezzo-soprano. Belgian choreographer and Beyonce’s 2017 Grammy performance director Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui planned the elaborate fight sequences, while the android was CGI mapped to Japanese dancer Tzuki Kozuki. The star of the film, Evnika Sadvakassova, is a boxer who gained the Guiness World Record for the most full contact punch strikes by a female in one minute. She won this accolade in 2018 at the age of 11.
This Christmas, Very.co.uk are celebrating the joy of giving in a film created by directors againstallodds. The film, part of a campaign by creative agency St Luke’s, follows the story of a woman as she travels home for Christmas accompanied by a flying heart. The heart flutters and grows as our heroine spreads joy with familiar Very-pink presents. As she spreads Christmas spirit her joy grows with every gift she gives.
KidSuper AW22 “The MisAdventures of KidSuper” Paris Fashion Week

I often get told: “You need a TV Show.” Most of the time it is for a reality show, but I wanted to take a stab at trying to make my own show. Inspired by my own experience and the KidSuper AW22 collection I am proud to present the MisAdventures of KidSuper!!!

This was a such a crazy undertaking from trying to produce a whole collection, write a script, cast a group of friends, and bring this vision to life. This was an unrealistic deadline to start with and many people told me we should wait. But you only learn and grow from taking the leap, I have never done a film project where I have learned more. I now know exactly what I want for this series.

I can’t thank enough for all those involved. What a fucking cast of characters!!!!
As many of you know KidSuper has always lived in its own universe. I wanted to capture the hustle and bustle of starting you own brand as a TV Show.

Hopefully this leads to a tv show!!!!
Photographer Ben Depp has set out to chronicle the wetlands in a series of aerial photographs that he captures with the help of a paramotor that he straps to his back. From above he has become acutely aware of the vast network of pipeline canals which are reportedly responsible for up to 30% of the land loss. In this episode we take a trip to the barrier islands where Ben flies his glider and observes the recent restoration that the state has put into rebuilding the land in this area.

SATELLIKE - artistic sceneries of Asia, created with ink on a piece of paper.

This project was initiated by a job I did for the National Palace Museum of Taipeh. The museum ran an exhibition on culture treasures of the history of Taiwan in 2020. I was hired to create fluid and abstract interpretations of some iconic items, a collection of several drawings and artworks. I decided to develop my existing methods further, stepping away from stock paints and ink and creating most of the paints myself. One important aspect was to implement natural colors and realistic earth tones to the color palette and focus more on details than on a commercial look with punchy color and contrast.
Over a period of 4 months, I experimented with natural substances like sand, stone powder and historic pigments. Some of these supplies are rare and expensive, for example jade and malachite powder.

On Set: https://vimeo.com/507198210

What you see in SATELLIKE are very long shots of watery ink in motion on several coats of half dried paint. Drying the paint leads to organic structures which can be brought to life again with water, ink and sour flow release mediums. The results look different from my usual approach, way more realistic and less otherworldly. I was excited about the aesthetics of the images and decided to do an individual piece. Although this is the final result for now, it feels more like I’m at the very beginning.

Thanks for watching.
Each of us are part of a greater whole, a community that grows stronger together especially when it’s open to all. Leanne Pelosi, Jess Kimura, Marion Haerty, Mary Rand, and Amanda Hankison show us just that. A unique look at these inspiring athletes that make up one hell of a portfolio. This one is for the next generation of riders carving their own paths.

Earth to COP was the creative response from HTYT Ltd to the brief given to them to produce the Leaders Summit Opening Ceremony for COP26. This film - shown to over 120 World Leaders at the conference - formed the pivotal moment of the ceremony and presents an eyewitness portrait of climate change. Using dramatic mobile phone footage from around the world, this short film shows the extent of damage caused by the change in our climate, contrasted with the beauty of Earth - what is at stake and what our leaders need to protect. It underlines that we have seen some progress, but we need further and faster action.

The composer of the music for the film, Steven Price is an Academy Award-winning composer. In 2014 his groundbreaking score for Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity won him the Academy Award and Critics' Choice Award.

The Earth to COP film was independently produced by Harder Than You Think and is a partnership with Bloomberg. The film will be widely distributed, including through a principal partnership with Bloomberg, a global partnership with WWF and with TikTok, who share the ambition to help bring Earth to COP to a worldwide audience. It will also be played on digital screens across the UK.
Run Forever is a digital media artwork visualising the vision of Hyundai Motor’s sustainable design and green energy for a clean mobility society. In Run Forever, the runner is at one with nature, transforming from water, to hydrogen and oxygen, to pure energy, before returning to nature in the form of plants. Inspired by the water cycle, Hyundai Motor’s clean hydrogen fuel process is renewable, generating infinite energy for our runner to ‘run forever’.

Run Forever launches the new brand space Hyundai Motorstudio Busan. The Motorstudio is a hub for design, exploring the power of design across all disciplines. Experiences in the Motorstudio are guided by the theme ‘Design to Live by’, reflecting how great design enriches and reinvents our everyday lives.

Run Forever features on the Creative Wall at Hyundai Motorstudio Busan. The digital artwork is among a variety of arts and cultural exhibits in the space that allow visitors to experience the vision of the Hyundai Motor brand.

The five-story Hyundai Motorstudio Busan is based in F1963, a cultural complex in the former Kiswire Suyeong wire rope factory designed by renowned architect Choi Wook. Universal Everything and Hyundai Motor have previously collaborated on a kinetic display experience and large-scale video artwork for the Hyundai Motorstudio in Goyang.

Run Forever also features in Hyundai Motor’s commercial TV campaign about clean energy.
